The Salento Rosè IGT "Furia di Calafuria" 2021 by Tormaresca is a blend of negroamaro, cabernet franc and syrah, harvested in the province of Bari, specifically in San Pietro Vernotico. The three varieties are vinified separately and, after several months of aging in steel in contact with their own yeasts, are blended.
The result is a Rosè with fresh and lively aromas, perfect for moments of pure conviviality.
Tasting notes: peach blossom pink in color. Calafuria presents fruity notes of peach, pink grapefruit and pomegranate on the nose, combined with delicate floral sensations of wisteria. On the palate it is soft, standing out for its pleasant freshness, well balanced with aromatic persistence, followed by a delicate savoriness.
Pairings: Perfect with fish, shellfish, cheeses and lean fish.

History | Masseria Maìme stands in one of the most beautiful areas of Alto Salento, not far from the town of San Pietro Vernotico - Brindisi. The estate stretches along the coast, creating a unique landscape of vineyards that spring up among woods and pine forests and fade into the sea as far as the eye can see. The varieties mostly present are: Negroamaro, Primitivo, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Calafuria comes from the vineyards that stretch for more than a kilometer along the Adriatic coast. It owes its name to one of more than 700 bays in Puglia. The region has a long tradition of producing rosé wines made from Negroamaro, vine that best expresses its potential near the sea.
