The clusters of müller thurgau meet the grapes of pinot grigio, to go together in a blend that takes the name "Al Passo del Leone" in this case. The signature on the label is that of the "Alois Lageder" winery. It is a White from Alto Adige that is born on gravelly, limestone-rich soils, then fermented in steel by indigenous yeasts alone, and finally completed with four months resting on fine lees, again in steel. It is a Mountain White with all the makings.
Tasting Notes: It dresses the glass in a limpid straw yellow, with greenish reflections on the eye. Aromatic is the olfactory bouquet, with hints of elderflower in the opening, fruity notes to follow and mineral memories in the closing. Good structure to the sip, pleasantly savory, fresh and of good length.
Pairings: Best chosen to accompany appetizers, it is excellent with shrimp in pink sauce.
