The Estate Classics Alois Lageder reflect the countless facets of Alto Adige wine production by highlighting its wide range of varieties. Whites and reds that are vinified predominantly from grapes sourced from trusted vintners whose vineyards are carefully selected by the estate based on their specific varietal suitability. Winemakers to whom the estate is linked by a long-standing collaboration, with whom it shares all its quality goals. The Lagrein, from selected vineyards in the Bolzano basin and in Magrè, is a deep, dynamic red whose vinification takes place in large steel tanks and whose maturation continues in cement for about 17 months. A wine of great harmony, full of pleasant fruity hints, perfect to accompany a fine dinner.
Tasting Notes.: Cherry red with ruby highlights. The nose expresses a rich, fruity bouquet with plum tones, floral and spicy with hints of leather, tar and cocoa. The palate is full-bodied, soft, pleasantly rich, with excellent persistence.
Pairings: Throughout the meal, goes well with game, roasted meats, aged cheeses.
