Deltetto

Shaped by millions of years and characterized by soils rich in clays, sandstones, sand and sedimentary rocks of marine origin, then characterized by a particularly favorable microclimate for the cultivation of vines, the terroir of the Roero area - as well as that of the Piedmontese Langhe - is known for giving wines of great structure, but at the same time very elegant. In this scenario, it is from the second half of the last century - since 1953 to be exact - that the Deltetto farm has been engaged in the production of high quality wines. We are precisely in the municipality of Canale, in the province of Cuneo: it is here where the twenty-one hectares of vineyards currently available in the winery meet. Founded by Carlo Deltetto, the company has since its origins been set on a philosophy that is extremely respectful of the environment and nature, in the name of the most ancient traditions of Piedmontese viticulture. Currently managed by Carlo's son, Antonio Deltetto, who avails himself of the help of his wife Graziella and that of their children Carlo, Cristina and Claudia, the company has always given a lot of value to what are the autochthonous vine varieties of the area , for which among the rows there are mainly nebbiolo, dolcetto, barbera, favorita and arneis grapes, to which are also added those of pinot noir used in particular for sparkling wine. Pure and precious bunches arrive in the cellar to be processed and interpreted without ever distorting what the terroir and the season have been able to create. The result of all this is found in labels with a strong identity of what Roero is and what Lange are. Expressive and never artificial wines, able to best describe the territory from which they are born. From the two Arneis "San Michele" and "Daivej", passing through Dolcetto and Barbera d'Alba "Bramé" and "Rocca delle Marasche", up to the Barolo "Braja" and "Bussia" and finally closing with the bubbles are all bottles, those that come out of the cellar of Corso Alba 43, the result of the most unconditional love for their vineyards and their lands, and daughters of the deepest passion for their work.
