The "Laurin" of Girlan comes from a balanced blend of Lagrein and Merlot. The native red grape variety of Alto Adige gives the wine a typically territorial profile, with its intense fruit notes and somewhat rough character. The great Bordeaux grape variety mellows its face with its expressive softness, the harmony of its sip and its silky tannic texture. The successful combination of two grapes with very different but complementary characteristics and the long aging in wood create an important, structured and persistent red wine. The wine "Laurin" is produced by one of the most famous wineries in South Tyrol.
Tasting Notes.: by. ruby red color intense. The nose releases a bouquet of small dark berry fruits, plum, notes of vanilla and woody nuances. The palate has good body, with dense aromas, an evolved tannic texture and a very harmonious and persistent finish.
Pairings: excellent with savory pies, pasta with meat sauce, blue cheeses, roasted and grilled meats.
