Cafaggio
Le origini of the Estate Cafaggio sink into the distant past, in medieval times, while the first document attesting to the presence of Cafaggio is from 1408, as evidenced by a precious parchment preserved in the estate's archives. At that time the estate was called "Cahago," which means fenced, cultivated field.
From 2005 to 2015, Villa Cafaggio was controlled by the La-Vis Group, and since 2016 it has been in the hands of ISA S.p.A. (Istituto Atesino di Sviluppo S.p.A.) a holding company based in Trento, which intends to look at the development of Cafaggio in terms of enhancing the existing potential through investments and new strategies that can enhance the estate's productions in today's highly globalized markets.
