Fazi Battaglia (Bertani Domains)

The history of FAZI BATTAGLIA began in 1949 in Cupramontana and from the very beginning it tied to itself the image of the Marchigiano wine par excellence, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico, a wine until then little known and today famous all over the world in its typical amphora-shaped bottle designed by our company. A qualified production marks the beginning of a continuous success and the demands grew to such an extent that in 1956 the company moved to its new headquarters in Castelplanio and started the purchase of other selected lands, which were transformed into the most beautiful vineyards of the Castelli di Jesi Classico area for an extension to date of 300 hectares. In 1969, Fazi Battaglia took over an ancient and emblazoned Chianti winery, FASSATI, and made it famous with the production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG. The success of Fassati wines, as well as Fazi Battaglia wines, comes first and foremost in the vineyard. The estates where the vineyards are planted are selected and carefully cared for to ensure the best quality grapes for its wines, and they currently cover 80 hectares. Attention continues in the winery in an exemplary symbiosis of the best traditions and the most modern technologies. With its 50 years of experience, Fazi Battaglia further broadens its interests by looking out into the Morellino di Scansano area: with the 2001 vintage the adventure of distributing this great red from the Tuscan coast of the GRETO DELLE FATE winery began, a small reality that today presents itself with 11 hectares and a selection of Morellino di Scansano and Vermentino di Maremma, but with great potential for growth in future years due to the incredible richness of the land where it stands. The family has also created, since 2002, the FB TRADING project, selecting prestigious quality brands to represent them exclusively in the Italian territory. To date, it is pleased to distribute a rich and constantly evolving range of products, composed mainly of Champagne and foreign Distillates, to complement its Italian wine production. The Fazi Battaglia Group is constantly seeking improvements and innovations, and with Maria Luisa Sparaco, the third generation at the helm, flanked by her children, Luca, Barbara and Chiara Giannotti, and a staff of experienced and motivated collaborators, it has reinvigorated the prestigious past and broadened the foundations for a great future, investing in product quality combined with a careful communication project.
