Renowned winery to be counted among those that made the fortune of the new era of Chianti Classico. We are in Panzano in Chianti, on the predominantly south-facing hill known as Conca d'Oro di Panzano, at a significant altitude (500 meters above sea level), in a suggestive position that slopes down to the Pesa river valley, where the light never seems to dim. Among these vineyards the noble Flaccianello della Pieve was born thanks to the expert hand of the well-known consultant Franco Bernabei and the genius of Giovanni Manetti, owner of the company, one of those reds that in the Eighties deserved the name of Supertuscan from the US press because it was part of a limited group of non Doc wines and outside the influence, at the time restrictive, of the disciplinary. At his side an excellent sampling, where passion, enological art - we also work in amphorae produced by the Manetti themselves in the family furnace - terroir and respect for the environment, go hand in hand.
