Isole e Olena
This company, managed by Paolo De Marchi, is another example of impressive increase in quality over the past decades. Paolo's family, of Piedmontese origin, purchased the estate in 1960. His attention to detail both in the vineyard and in the cellar led to the excellent quality. The experience accumulated in work in a grape variety or two in California has helped, but undoubtedly the input received by the oenological consultant Donato Lanati was very important. Among all the wines produced there is the Ceppparello, a Sangiovese Barrique classified as IGT - because at the time of its creation in 1980, a wine composed of 100% Sangiovese could not be labeled as Chianti. There are a classic Chianti and a Santo Vin, as well as some excellent wines from the de -Marchi collection label, including a Syrah called Eremo, a Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
