Prunotto
The ownership of the winery today belongs to the Marquis Antinori, but its birth is due to Alfredo Prunotto, who in 1922 took over the ownership of the social winery "ai vini delle Langhe" founded twenty years earlier. Alfredo's new management and ideas gave the winery great momentum year after year. Sold in 1954 to his friend, winemaker Beppe Colla, who in turn, some forty years later, transferred it to the current ownership, the winery has never stopped growing, both qualitatively and quantitatively. There are currently more than 60 hectares under vine, scattered among the hills of Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti and Alba, from which nearly a million bottles are produced annually. With these numbers, the winery Prunotto produces a wide and very valid range of wines.
