The beautiful estate of La Braccesca spreads over a total of 420 hectares and is divided into two distinct parts: the historic part of the estate is located in the Montepulciano area, while the other, comprising 162 hectares of vineyards, lies in the foothills around Cortona. In this area, syrah, a historic variety from the Rhone Valley, has found its ideal environment in Italy, resulting in wines that are both concentrated and rich in fine detail. "Achelo" is a rich and dynamic red wine that combines the typical depth of the variety with the characteristic freshness of vintage wines.
Tasting Notes: Purple in color with intense aromas of raspberry and fresh fruit. In the mouth it is broad and enveloping, with soft and elegant tannins that accompany the entire tasting. The finish is long and savory, supported by an acidic plug that backs up a good minerality.
Pairings: a entire meal, it is exalted with rich first and second courses, rich in aroma and spice. Excellent with a pork tenderloin with black pepper.

After the harvest, following destemming and crushing of the berries, a pre-fermentation was carried out in the cellar at low temperatures to promote the extraction of aromas in aqueous solution. After this, fermentation began in steel at temperatures not exceeding 28°C, so as to continue in the extraction of sweet tannins while respecting the fruit. |
Aging | After about 7-10 days, before the end of alcoholic fermentation, the wine was put into wood where it also carried out the malolactic fermentation. This was followed by a refinement of about 6 months in second-passage barriques. |
