Cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon: in the sign of Cabernet.
The "Alois Lageder" winery has really hit the mark with its interpretation of this "Reserve," which has a typical varietal character and exemplifies the terroir at the same time. Fermented in steel with maceration on the skins, it is left to mature partly in steel, partly in cement and partly in barriques.
It is a Cabernet that always proves itself when meat is on the menu. With lamb scottadito it goes with it like a charm.
Tasting Notes: Ruby red in the glass, with a slightly garnet rim. Notes of ripe red berry fruit guide the olfactory bouquet, which also allows finely spiced hints to emerge in the second half. Medium-bodied sip, well balanced and fruity like the nose. Good persistence.
Pairings: To pair with meats, it is excellent with lamb scottadito.
