This red Cason is an original expression of the Dolomite Vineyards, thanks to the use of the exotic tannat vine with the characteristic red color of the petioles.
Fruit, acidity and structure are the leitmotif of a wine that originates in the Casòn Hirschprunn vineyard in Magrè on sandy, stony Dolomite soils.
It is aged in small and large wood for about 18 months.
A special way of drinking Alto Adige with a varietal that will be the talk of the town and already fascinates us thanks to Lageder's interpretation.
Tasting Notes.: Shows a beautiful cherry color rich with purplish highlights.
The nose reveals intense aromas, marked by fruitiness and in particular blackberry and plum that blend with hints of leather, tea and smoky notes.
The palate is medium-bodied, characterized by good smoothness and rich in fruity aromas that turn bitter. Good freshness and persistence.
Pairings: Acidity and aromatic component allow pairings ranging from aged cheeses to game via roasted meat. Very good with lamb scottaditos.
