Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva DOC "Gries" 2021 from the winery Colterenzio (Kellerei Schreckbichl) takes shape from hand-picked bunches of grapes in vineyards located in the oldest and most vocated area for the cultivation of the noble native variety.
The Gries area is characterized by alluvial, warm, sandy soils where yields per hectare are very low. Fermentation takes place in steel and is followed by 16 months of maturation between large barrels and barriques. A red wine endowed with power and elegance, a faithful witness to the terroir.
Tasting notes.: by. color rruby bone deep with violet hues. On the nose, aromas of blackberry, black cherry and violet blend with roasted notes reminiscent of coffee and chocolate. Powerful and enveloping on the palate, ennobled by tannins of fine finesse and enlivened by marked savoriness.
