Arneis is a wine that is grown by the family Deltetto within the Roero terroir since 1977, when Antonio produced the first 1,000 bottles. Since then this vine has always been at the top of the winery's thoughts, which, within the vineyard that gives the label its name, "San Michele," dedicates some of the best plots to it.
The berries, after the harvest, ferment at a controlled temperature of 16 degrees in both cement and French oak barrels, and then age, for about 6 months, in steel and wood. A label with which Deltetto sums up in a pleasant sip all the beauty of the Roero DOCG.
Tasting Notes.: To the eye, it presents itself with a color deep straw yellow. The nose has sensations of exotic fruit, apple and vanilla, spice whose aroma comes from the period of aging spent in wood. On the palate it is full-bodied, refined, with an excellently balanced sip that makes for a satisfyingly smooth drink.
Pairings: excellent both as an aperitif and throughout a meal, where it elegantly accompanies vegetable-based first courses and light sauces. Absolutely must try with a frittata with wild herbs and squash blossoms.
