It does not happen very often to uncork bottles that tell, with flavors and sensations, the perfect synergy between land, vine and man: so it happens with this Chianti Classico "Il Grigio," a Riserva that elevates the native Sangiovese to high levels, with its characteristic notes of violet violets and berries.
The grapes ferment in steel for 18-20 days at a temperature of 28-30 °C, also carrying out malolactic fermentation; this is followed by aging, which takes place for two years in both large barrels, for 80% of the mass, and in barriques, for the remaining 20%. A label with which the winery San Felice always confirms itself on excellent levels of expression.
Tasting Notes: ahe view presents itself with a ruby red color very intense and deep. The range of aromas on the nose presents notes of violets, berries, citrus peel and tertiary aromas. The palate is full-bodied, robust, with a marked acidity that lends freshness. It closes with a moderately persistent finish.
Pairings: a wine with a good structure, thus needing dishes with elaborate preparations. Perfect with red meats and medium-aged cheeses, it is best tried with roast pork loin.
