Duca di Salaparuta is a ten-million-bottle-a-year behemoth, and despite these staggering numbers, we can fully affirm that, in this case, quantity can also be synonymous with quality.
A great entrepreneurial reality that has united under its umbrella brands such as Corvo and Florio and that continues to produce wines with a modern character without, however, neglecting typicality and attachment to the territory.
Tasting Notes: From Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese grapes, sourced from vineyards particularly suited to the cultivation of red varieties, located in the areas of Agrigento and Caltanissetta, comes Corvo Rosso, which, since its first harvest back in 1824, has reflected the warmth and temperament of this sun-kissed land. Intense ruby color, with deep notes of morello cherry and rhubarb, licorice and graphite, reveals great structure and firm tannins on the palate, good balance and an almondy finish.
Pairings: with first courses with meat sauce and with grilled meats.
