The name "Le Grance" derives from the fortified buildings, in use in the Sienese area during the Middle Ages, that were used to store agricultural products. Caparzo gave this name to the area where the vineyards that give rise to this wine, first produced in 1985, are located.
"Le Grance" is the perfect example of how a winery located in an area vocated to the production of great red wines can also produce an important white wine. It evolves in the bottle for several more years after the harvest. In fact, it can be kept for about 6 to 8 years. A true white wine for aging in the style of the great wines from beyond the Alps.
Tasting Notes: by straw yellow color with slight golden reflections with a fine, broad, complex aroma with hints of spices and dried fruit. In the mouth dry, full, harmonious.
Pairings: fish dishes, white meats.
