Walking among the rows of Cabernet and Petit Verdot, my thoughts always run to 150 years ago, when my ancestors first planted these varietals with the desire to produce a great wine. Since 1983 this desire has been fulfilled with Cru Mormoreto, a wine with a vibrant, deep and harmonious character. Since 2013 a small amount of Sangiovese has further emphasized its elegance. (Lamberto Frescobaldi) Intense violet. Seductive and opens with a wonderful, deep floral character of jasmine and bergamot, followed by distinct notes of ripe fruit, raspberry, blackberry and citrus nuances. Complexity is accentuated by an intriguing final spiciness with notes of tea and hints of light vanilla. It reiterates the density of flowers and fruit already perceived on the nose. The structure of the wine develops harmoniously. The grain of the tannins is particularly fine and pleasant and contributes to the length and persistence of the finish. Mormoreto is a wine with a vibrant character that can express finesse, harmony and admirable longevity.
