The wines in the Terroir Selection come from the best production areas and fully express their typicality. As the name suggests, each wine is distinguished by its specific terroir, which in addition to the location, altitude and exposure of the vineyards includes the microclimate and geology of the area. Over the years, the Tenuta Alois Lageder has identified the individual vineyards and the best plots in each area of origin, unique places capable of bringing out its character clearly in the wine. Lagrein Conus, whose grapes are grown not far from Magrè, is a red whose maturation takes place for 12 months partly in steel and partly in barrique. A smooth and elegant wine, an extraordinary result of the union of terroir, variety, and man's work.
Tasting notes: Cherry red of medium intensity with ruby flashes. The nose expresses an intense aroma, fruity with plum notes, finely spiced with hints of licorice and bitter chocolate, mineral and floral. The palate is structured, powerful, full-bodied, with firm and elegant tannins. Very persistent.
Pairings: Throughout the meal, goes well with rich game-based first courses, roasted meats, aged cheeses.
