The line Casalforte offers a selection of traditional labels from the best Veronese winemaking. This Corvina Veronese is proof of that. The name is inspired by the Castle of Monteforte, a building erected in the year 1000 to defend against enemy attacks.
It is obtained from the pressing of grapes Corvina with a high sugar content, vinified using the Ganimede system, which consists of the continuous stirring of the pomace in order to favor the extraction of coloring substances and tannin. The wine matures partly in steel and partly in wooden barrels for 12 months.
Tasting Notes.: presents to the eye a ruby red color intense. Hints of black cherry and ripe blackberry stand out on the nose, supported by slight touches of vanilla and sweet spices. The palate proves to be a pleasant, elegant and balanced wine.
Pairings: at the table it goes well with red meats, game and long-aged cheeses.
