This Etna Rosso DOC by Baglio di Pianetto takes the name of one of the stops on the historic circumetnea line, a narrow-gauge railway connecting Catania with Riposto, making the circumnavigation of Etna. Together with Etna Bianco DOC, it is part of the new Etna Project of Baglio di Pianetto, designed to produce, from the most beautiful and best exposed vineyards in the entire DOC, organic wines of extraordinary quality. The Rosso, in particular, ages in large barrels, for 12 months, and in steel before bottling, proving to be pleasantly delicate on the nose and, at the same time, of excellent persistence.
Tasting Notes.: Ruby. The nose is expressed with hints of wild strawberries, notes of red fruit and hints of sweet spices. The palate is soft, silky and with good persistence.
Pairings: Excellent with white meats, it also goes well with meaty and earthy first courses.
