Alois Lageder

A real synonym of excellence, Alois Lageder over the years has shown how much better South Tyrol is able to express in terms of personality, elegance, territorial adherence. A result child of a clear vision of one's work, in which each activity is closely linked to the others in a virtuous circle that has found fulfillment in the conversion to biodynamics of the owned vineyards. Founded in 1823 and now in the sixth generation, the company stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation: “Quality is always the result of many details, sometimes even minimal - recalls Alois Lageder - and in all phases of Processing we try first of all to find a harmony among all the factors involved, working in harmony with nature ". It is no coincidence that each wine manages like few others in the region to tell what are the always different characteristics of its vineyard of origin - South Tyrol is in fact an extremely rich land in the variety of soils, in microclimatic areas and in exhibitions, which therefore offers the ideal conditions for producing wines with a strong individuality. The grapes collected in the vineyards owned by the family, about 50 hectares between Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno and in the area of Lake Caldaro, are grown with biological and biodynamic methods certified by Demeter. Not only that, in addition to managing the vineyards owned, the company collaborates with a certain number of trusted winemakers who come from different areas of South Tyrol, vineyards that extend to another 110 hectares, of which about a quarter cultivated according to the dictates of biodynamics. It is from this extraordinary context that wines are born that they are real ambassadors of the area, whites and reds of great charm that compose an assortment consisting of three quality levels: the classics, the terroir selections, the farms.
