The beautiful Le Mortelle Farm is located in the heart of the lower Maremma, in the province of Grosseto, just ten kilometers from the coast. This property, purchased by the Antinori in 1999, covers 270 hectares, of which 160 are dedicated to vineyards.

Mainly cabernet sauvignon and sangiovese are grown here, but there are also more recent plantings of white varieties such as vermentino, ansonica and viognier.

From the blend of cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon comes "Poggio alle Nane," a Bordeaux-style blend that expresses all the generosity of the best wines of the Tuscan Coast. It is an elegant, deep and dynamic red wine.

Tasting Notes: deep red color. Complex and elegant. Early spicy hints, such as vanilla and sweet paprika, are in full harmony with notes of berries, blackberries and delicate sensations of Mediterranean herbs and lavender. The wine is silky and structured. The finish, harmonious and persistent, has notes of blueberry chocolate and licorice.

Pairings: Perfect, with lamb loin crusted with Tuscan flavors.
