Ihe Syrah "Achelo" of La Braccesca is a red wine produced in the Cortona area, which takes advantage of a temperate and ventilated microclimate, influenced by the proximity of Lake Trasimeno. This wine is distinguished by its spicy and fruity notes, elegance, soft tannins and excellent persistence.

Tasting Notes: Purple in color with intense aromas of raspberry and fresh fruit. In the mouth it is broad and enveloping, with soft and elegant tannins that accompany the entire tasting. The finish is long and savory, supported by an acidic plug that backs up a good minerality.

Pairings: Perfect with risottos, pasta dishes, roasts and stewed meat.

Vinification An in-vineyard selection of the clusters before harvest allowed the Syrah vines to find the right balance for proper ripening. After the harvest, following destemming and crushing of the berries, a pre-fermentation was carried out in the cellar at low temperatures to promote the extraction of aromas in aqueous solution. After this, fermentation began in steel at temperatures not exceeding 28°C, so as to continue in the extraction of sweet tannins while respecting the fruit.
Aging After about 7-10 days, before the end of alcoholic fermentation, the wine was put into wood where it also carried out the malolactic fermentation. This was followed by a refinement of about 6 months in second-passage barriques.
Grade alcohol 14.00% by volume
