No other white grape variety identifies with Friuli Venezia Giulia, and in particular with its Colli Orientali, as does the Friulano variety. Always known as tocai, it gives wines that are elegant and responsive, deep and magnetic. The interpretation of Sirch fits perfectly into this track.
Tasting notes: to the eye it is of a beautiful straw yellow, with subtle greenish hues. The nose is set on citrus notes, of yellow grapefruit in particular, then followed by hints reminiscent of tomato leaf and peppermint. The mouth is supported by a nice acid shoulder, so it turns out to be fragrant and flowing. Good length.
Pairings: excellent with seafood first courses, it is perfect with shrimp and asparagus risotto.
