Address: Fromaurelia exit from Albinia, towards Manciano-Pitigliano. Purchased in 1997, Poggio al Tufo stands as a first company acquired by the Tommasi family outside their classic Valpolicella. With the fourth generation and an oenological fame that precedes them, it could only take place a healthy wine expansion process, which developed on three different seals, inconvenience and customs in Pitigliano, the latter in biological regime, and dawn in the renowned Scansano . He then set up a group of companies with purchases in Oltrepò Pavese in Lombardy, in Montalcino and finally to Manduria, in Puglia. From respectful people of the territory, Tommasi behave as if they have always witnessed the wine history of these lands, producing wines of strong territorial fidelity, thanks to extremely concernous cultivation techniques and in the cellar with the maximum safeguard of the aromatic baggage of the processed grapes. It is full of flavor and colorful in perfumes the Alicante, wine that more than any other has captured us among those proposed by this beautiful Maremma reality.
