Bertani owns about two hundred hectares covering a vast territory and a wide range of vines that allow them to cover well six denominations and various geographical indications, ranging from Lake Garda to Soave, passing through Bardolino and obviously Valpolicella. Here in Arbizzano di Negrar the splendid Tenuta Novare represents the fulcrum of the historic activity, with its alternation of soils, from the clays of the valley floor to the limestone soils rich in iron and manganese to reach the land rich in basalt, and its mild climate creates the Ideal conditions for producing, from seventy years, the famous Amarone. The estate also gives the name to the method introduced in 2013 to improve, resuming an ancient local tradition, plant with plan. The novete method consists in severing the branch in order to interrupt the flow between plant and bunch, which thus has the possibility of having air in the shadow of the foliage created by trapezoid cultivation.
